Our Background

I became a Director in another Montessori centre in Geelong in 1986, but it was always my vision to establish my own Montessori Preschool. In 1990 my dream was achieved when I opened a preschool in East Geelong in temporary facilities.

In 1994 a milestone was achieved when we were able to move into a new and especially designed permanent home in central Geelong.

Since then we have been able to enhance the Montessori method with
•    Facilities for Toddlers (15 months to 3 years)
•    Facilities for Extended Day

Today with full enrolments and confirmed admissions for the next three years, Bay City Montessori has developed a unique identity in Geelong and the Bellarine Peninsula. (We have children attending from Sunshine, Werribee, Lara and the Bellarine Peninsula). Our plan for the future is to establish a Montessori Primary cycle 2 class.

The satisfaction of having personally designed and established my preschool is a dream come true. This has been supported through many enthusiastic and committed parents and friends that I have known for the past 14 years. My staff and I are committed to providing quality Montessori oriented education to the Geelong community.

A visit to the Pre-school will enrich the visitor’s view of the Montessori programs offered at our Pre-school. OPEN DAYS are conducted each semester. Details will appear on this website.
